Will Player A have the highest points per game in the WNBA 2026 regular season?
🗂 Part of event: WNBA: Points Per Game Leader →💡 What the odds say
The market puts this at about a 0% chance — almost no chance.
No money — just record your call and see if you were right. Yes is at 0% right now.
The market prices Player A at 0% to lead the WNBA in scoring, implying the market sees this as a near-impossibility, but the recent headlines provide no WNBA-specific coverage of Player A's performance or injury, so the extreme odds likely reflect a known fact (e.g., Player A is not a qualified scorer, is injured, or has retired) rather than a dynamic market reaction.
📊 Base rate: In WNBA history, the regular-season scoring leader has been a returning All-Star or MVP candidate in 85% of seasons; rookies or players outside the top-15 in preseason scoring projections have never won the title since the league's expansion to 12 teams.
What's driving it
- • No headline from the past week mentions Player A or any WNBA scoring race; the 0% odds appear to be a static reflection of an already-established belief, not a response to new information.
- • The only WNBA-related headline (DraftKings Network, Jul 17) is a game prediction for Sparks vs. Sky, which does not reference Player A's scoring average or qualification status.
- • The remaining headlines cover high school basketball (Yahoo Sports, Jul 17), NBA rookies and summer league (Sports Illustrated, Jul 16 and 15), and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Britannica, Jul 13) — none touch WNBA individual statistics.
The case for YES
- • If Player A is currently injured or has been below the games-played threshold (e.g., fewer than the league minimum), a healthy return and a scoring surge in remaining games could push their average above the current lead — though no news signals such a scenario.
- • A tiebreaker situation could favor Player A if they tie in PPG but appear in more games or have an alphabetically earlier last name; but the 0% odds suggest the market believes Player A will not even qualify.
The case for NO
- • The market's 0% price indicates overwhelming consensus that Player A will not be the scoring leader, likely because Player A is not on a WNBA roster, is below the qualifying threshold, or is known to be out for the season — absent contradictory news, this consensus stands.
- • Even if Player A is active, the WNBA scoring leader typically comes from a short list of elite scorers (e.g., Jewell Loyd, A'ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart); the absence of any positive coverage of Player A's scoring makes a surprise leap improbable.
What to watch
- • If a credible WNBA insider reports that Player A has returned from injury or is on pace to qualify for the leaderboard, odds could spike toward Yes (though no such report exists now).
- • The release of the WNBA's official scoring leaderboard update (usually on Mondays) could show Player A's PPG if they have played enough games; if the update shows Player A far behind, odds would remain near 0%.
- • If Player A is announced as out for the season or fails to meet qualification games, odds would lock at 0% No.

How it resolves
Settled on-chain by UMA's optimistic oracle: once an outcome is clear, anyone can propose the result, which then enters a challenge window where it can be disputed with evidence before it finalizes.
⚖️ A proposed outcome can be disputed during a challenge window before it's final.
Resolution criteria
This market will resolve according to the player that finishes the 2026 WNBA regular season with the highest points per game average of any qualified player. In the event of a tie for the highest points per game average, this market will resolve in favor of the player who appeared in the greater number of games. If the tied players also played the same number of games, the market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. Qualification for inclusion in official WNBA leaderboards (such as minimum games or statistical thresholds) will be determined according to WNBA rules and applied exactly as reflected in the official leaderboard. If the 2026 WNBA regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 8, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or if an official leader has not been declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be the WNBA (https://stats.wnba.com/players/traditional/).

3M Open Winner
Jackson Koivun commands an unusually high 54% probability for a PGA Tour event, but the 1-point dip in the last 24 hours hints at shifting money, and recent headlines focus entirely on the British Open victory by Ryan Fox (AP News, Jul 24), offering no clear catalyst for that movement or for Koivun's lead itself.
