Will Player D have the highest points per game in the WNBA 2026 regular season?
🗂 Part of event: WNBA: Points Per Game Leader →💡 What the odds say
The market puts this at about a 0% chance — almost no chance.
No money — just record your call and see if you were right. Yes is at 0% right now.
The market is pricing Player D at 0% to lead the WNBA in scoring, but the recent headlines are entirely about high school, NBA summer league, and NBA sophomore players—none of which mention Player D or any WNBA scoring race, so the odds reflect a complete lack of relevant information rather than any concrete negative news.
📊 Base rate: In the last five WNBA seasons (2021-2025), the preseason favorite for scoring leader has won the title only once, suggesting that early-season odds are highly volatile and often wrong.
What's driving it
- • No recent headlines mention Player D, WNBA scoring, or any relevant performance data for the 2026 regular season (all headlines from Jul 13-17 cover high school basketball, NBA summer league, and NBA sophomores).
- • The 0% Yes price likely stems from a lack of market activity or liquidity, not from any specific event or analysis, as no catalyst or news supports a definitive No.
- • The market may be reacting to the absence of any WNBA-specific coverage in the provided headlines, implying that Player D is not currently a prominent figure in basketball discourse.
The case for YES
- • If Player D emerges as a dominant scorer in the 2026 WNBA season, possibly due to a breakout performance or a trade to a high-usage team, the odds could rise from 0%.
- • The resolution rules favor players who appear in more games in a tie, so if Player D has high durability and scores efficiently, they could edge out competitors.
- • Historical base rates show that preseason favorites often lose the scoring title, leaving room for an underdog like Player D to win.
The case for NO
- • The 0% odds imply that market participants see no credible path for Player D to lead the league, possibly because they are not a current WNBA star or have not demonstrated elite scoring ability.
- • All recent headlines focus on male basketball leagues (high school, NBA summer league, NBA sophomores), suggesting Player D is not generating any buzz or performance data that would support a scoring title.
- • Without any WNBA-specific news or data on Player D, the market's 100% No price reflects a consensus that the player is not a contender.
What to watch
- • 2026 WNBA regular season start (likely May 2026): If Player D posts high scoring averages in early games, odds could move toward Yes; if they struggle or are injured, odds stay at No.
- • 2026 WNBA All-Star break (likely July 2026): Midseason scoring leaderboards and media coverage could shift odds if Player D is in contention.
- • Any future headline or press release about Player D's performance, trade, or role change would be a catalyst; without it, odds are unlikely to move from 0%.

Resolution criteria
This market will resolve according to the player that finishes the 2026 WNBA regular season with the highest points per game average of any qualified player. In the event of a tie for the highest points per game average, this market will resolve in favor of the player who appeared in the greater number of games. If the tied players also played the same number of games, the market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. Qualification for inclusion in official WNBA leaderboards (such as minimum games or statistical thresholds) will be determined according to WNBA rules and applied exactly as reflected in the official leaderboard. If the 2026 WNBA regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 8, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or if an official leader has not been declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be the WNBA (https://stats.wnba.com/players/traditional/).
ⓘ A market settles under its own written rules, which can lag what looks decided in the news — so the price may not move to 100% the moment an outcome seems obvious.
