🗂 Part of event: Next Google Gemini Pro Model released by...? →💡 What the odds say
The market puts this at about a 3% chance — almost no chance.
No money — just record your call and see if you were right. Yes is at 3% right now.
Despite 78% odds suggesting near-certain release by July 31, the market is pricing in a fragile timeline: Google has officially delayed Gemini 3.5 Pro twice, with the latest target of July 17 backed by an architectural rebuild—making a miss by the end of the month a real, not just theoretical, risk.
What's driving it
- • Multiple headlines from late June and early July confirm Google delayed Gemini 3.5 Pro from an earlier window to a July target, with the latest pinning a specific date of July 17 (Tech Times, Jul 8; Business Insider, Jun 24).
- • Google's market cap loss of $225B following the delay news (tech-insider.org, Jul 1) signals investor skepticism about the timeline, which may temper confidence in a precise launch.
- • The stated reason for the delay—a 'full architectural rebuild' (finance.biggo.com, Jul 7)—introduces a high-risk factor that could further slip the release beyond July 17.
- • Competitive pressure from DeepSeek’s July 24 deadline for its own model (Tech Times, Jul 8) may force Google to rush, but could also lead to last-minute postponements if quality isn't ready.
The case for YES
- • Google has repeatedly reconfirmed a July launch window, most recently targeting July 17, suggesting internal confidence in hitting the end-of-month deadline (Tech Times, Jul 8).
- • The resolution allows a 'GA promotion of an already-existing Preview model' to count, so even if Gemini 3.5 Pro isn't final, a rebadged preview version could satisfy the criteria.
- • The market itself is pricing a 78% chance, reflecting a consensus among informed bettors that a July release is the baseline expectation given Google's history of shipping on revised schedules.
The case for NO
- • Every recent headline has announced a delay, with the launch sliding from June to late July, and the latest report of an architectural rebuild (finance.biggo.com, Jul 7) raises the risk of further slippage.
- • A full architectural rebuild is a major engineering effort that rarely adheres to optimistic deadlines; if the rebuild uncovers issues, the July 17 target could be pushed into August or later.
- • Google could choose to skip Gemini 3.5 Pro entirely and focus on a non-Pro variant like Flash or a different model, making the market's 'Pro' label unmet—though this is less supported by current headlines.
What to watch
- • July 17, 2026: If Google misses its self-reported target with no launch or credible announcement, the No odds will surge; if they launch or promise immediate release, Yes odds will harden.
- • Any official Google blog post, developer release notes, or social media confirmation of the Gemini 3.5 Pro launch date (or lack thereof) would directly move the market.
- • DeepSeek's July 24 deadline for its own model (Tech Times, Jul 8): If DeepSeek ships on time and Google remains silent, pressure for a quick Google launch may increase, but a DeepSeek delay could reduce competitive urgency.

Resolution criteria
This market will resolve to "Yes" if Google's next Gemini Pro model is made available to the general public between market creation and the specified date (ET). Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. Any Gemini model released after market creation and labeled as "Pro" may qualify (e.g., gemini-3.2-pro, gemini-3.5-pro, or gemini-4.0-pro-preview). Gemini models labeled only as Flash, Flash-Lite, or another non-Pro variant will not qualify. Products labeled as a GA promotion of an already-existing Preview model (e.g., gemini-3.1-pro-ga) may qualify A qualifying model must be launched and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice. The release must be either clearly defined and publicly announced by Google as being accessible to the general public or otherwise made publicly accessible and explicitly labeled within the company's official website. Labeling errors, placeholder text, or version names displayed on the website that do not correspond to a model that is actually accessible to the general public will not qualify. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Google, with additional verification from a consensus of credible reporting.
