Will Bitcoin reach $100,000 in July?
🗂 Part of event: What price will Bitcoin hit in July? →💡 What the odds say
The market puts this at about a 0% chance — almost no chance.
No money — just record your call and see if you were right. Yes is at 0% right now.
With only six days left in July and Bitcoin trading far below $100,000, the market has effectively resolved to No; the 0% odds reflect the impossibility of a roughly 40%+ surge in that timeframe, and no headline suggests an imminent catalyst.
📊 Base rate: Bitcoin has never recorded a single-day gain exceeding 40%, and a move from ~$70,000 to $100,000 would require a 43% increase in under a week, a feat with no historical precedent.
What's driving it
- • The price is currently around $70,000 (implied by a headline about reviving $70K hopes, StreetInsider, Jul 23), leaving a gap of over $30,000 to $100,000 with only six days left in July.
- • No headline reports any event that could trigger a sudden spike to $100,000; the most recent bullish news (Japan ETF potential, Pluang, Jul 24-25) is long-term and not tied to July.
- • A headline about Bitcoin's 'Quiet Civil War Reaching Breaking Point' (blockhead.co, Jul 23) suggests internal network conflict, which is typically bearish or neutral, not a catalyst for a massive rally.
The case for YES
- • A single 1-minute candle on Binance could theoretically spike to $100,000 or higher due to a flash crash, erroneous trade, or sudden large buy order, even if the broader market does not sustain that level.
- • If a major exchange or institutional player executed a one-time purchase at an extreme price (e.g., a fat-finger error), the resolution condition would be met regardless of market context.
- • The resolution source is a single exchange (Binance) and a single candle, so a brief, isolated price anomaly—though extremely unlikely—would technically trigger a Yes outcome.
The case for NO
- • Bitcoin would need to gain roughly 43% in six days, a move that has never occurred in such a short period and is not supported by any current news or market momentum.
- • The most optimistic price prediction in recent headlines is a revival of $70,000 hopes (StreetInsider, Jul 23), not $100,000, indicating that even bullish analysts see a ceiling far below the target.
- • With the month nearly over and no major pro-Bitcoin regulatory or adoption event scheduled for the remaining days, there is no plausible catalyst to drive the required price surge.
What to watch
- • Any unexpected announcement from Binance or a major crypto exchange regarding a system error or price manipulation could briefly spike the price, but such events are unpredictable and would likely push odds only marginally above 0%.
- • A sudden, coordinated buy order from a large institutional player or a government (e.g., a strategic Bitcoin reserve purchase) could cause a momentary high, but no such plan is mentioned in recent headlines.
- • The release of a highly positive US macroeconomic data point (e.g., a surprise Fed rate cut) could boost risk assets, but with only days left, the impact would need to be extreme and immediate to reach $100,000.

How it resolves
Settled on-chain by UMA's optimistic oracle: once an outcome is clear, anyone can propose the result, which then enters a challenge window where it can be disputed with evidence before it finalizes.

This market will immediately resolve to "Yes" if any Binance 1 minute candle for BTC/USDT during the month specified in the title (from 00:00 AM ET on the first day to 11:59 PM ET on the last), has a final High price equal to or greater than the price specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." The resolution source for this market is Binance, specifically the BTC/USDT High prices available at https://www.binance.com/en/trade/BTC_USDT, with the chart settings on "1m" for one-minute candles selected on the top bar. Please note that the outcome of this market depends solely on the price data from the Binance BTC/USDT trading pair. Prices from other exchanges, different trading pairs, or spot markets will not be considered for the resolution of this market.
ⓘ A market settles under its own written rules, which can lag what looks decided in the news — so the price may not move to 100% the moment an outcome seems obvious.
