Will Bitcoin reach $77,500 in July?
🗂 Part of event: What price will Bitcoin hit in July? →💡 What the odds say
The market puts this at about a 0% chance — almost no chance.
No money — just record your call and see if you were right. Yes is at 0% right now.
The market is pricing a 0% chance of Bitcoin hitting $77,500 in July because the current price is far below that level and only six days remain in the month, making a roughly 50% rally in less than a week virtually impossible based on historical volatility and recent price action.
📊 Base rate: Bitcoin has never posted a 50%+ gain in a single month since 2013, and a 50% rally in the final six days of a month has no precedent in the asset's history.
What's driving it
- • No headlines or price moves suggest any catalyst for a sudden 50% surge; the most recent price-related news (StreetInsider, Jul 23) only revives hopes for $70K, not $77,500.
- • The market's 0% odds reflect the mechanical reality that with only six days left in July, Bitcoin would need to gain roughly $25,000+ in a week, which no headline or event supports.
- • Japan's Bitcoin ETF potential (Pluang, Jul 24-25) is a long-term adoption story targeting 2028, not a near-term price catalyst for July.
The case for YES
- • If a flash crash or data error on Binance produced a one-minute candle with a high at or above $77,500, the market would resolve Yes regardless of the actual market price.
- • A coordinated short squeeze or unexpected regulatory announcement could theoretically spike price, but no such event is mentioned in recent headlines.
The case for NO
- • Bitcoin would need to rally over 50% in less than six days, which is far beyond any historical monthly move and unsupported by current news.
- • Recent headlines focus on long-term adoption (Japan ETFs by 2028) and miner contracts (Cointribune, Jul 24), not immediate price catalysts.
- • The market's 0% odds reflect a consensus that the required price level is unreachable within the remaining time window.
What to watch
- • Any unexpected Binance system glitch or data feed error that artificially prints a high price above $77,500 would instantly resolve Yes, but this is a technical risk, not a fundamental one.
- • A major macroeconomic or crypto-specific announcement before July 31 could move price, but no such event is currently scheduled or hinted in the headlines.
