Will Bitcoin dip to $75,000 by December 31, 2026?
🗂 Part of event: What price will Bitcoin hit in 2026? →The market has reached 100% Yes because the resolution window already opened on November 24, 2025, and Bitcoin has likely already printed a one-minute candle at or below $75,000 on Binance, making the outcome a foregone conclusion rather than a reflection of current price action.
📊 Base rate: Historical Bitcoin drawdowns from all-time highs have exceeded 50% in multiple cycles (e.g., 2014, 2018, 2022), making a dip to $75,000 plausible in a typical bear market, but the current 100% odds reflect a technical resolution trigger, not a base-rate probability.
What's driving it
- • The market's resolution rule triggers on any one-minute Binance candle with a Low ≤ $75,000 between November 24, 2025 and December 31, 2026, and the 24-hour +12pt and 7-day +30pt surge to 100% suggests that such a candle has already occurred or is considered certain (no clear headline catalyst for the move).
- • Headlines from July 20, 2026 mention a '50% dip is shallowest on record' (The Cryptonomist) and a 2% drop followed by a rebound after Trump's crypto comments (Yahoo Finance), indicating ongoing volatility but no new lows near $75,000 in the current period.
- • The CLARITY Act hearing on July 17, 2026 (Coinpedia) introduced regulatory uncertainty that could pressure prices, but the market's 100% odds are likely driven by past data rather than current events.
The case for YES
- • The resolution window opened on November 24, 2025, over eight months ago, and Bitcoin has experienced multiple sharp sell-offs since then (e.g., the 2022 bear market, 2024 halving volatility), making it highly probable that at least one one-minute candle dipped to $75,000 or lower on Binance.
- • Historical Bitcoin drawdowns of 50% or more are common in bear cycles, and a dip to $75,000 from a peak above $150,000 (if reached) would be a routine correction, easily captured in a single minute candle.
- • The market's 100% odds imply that traders with access to Binance historical data have already confirmed the trigger event, leaving no room for doubt.
The case for NO
- • If Bitcoin never actually reached $75,000 on a one-minute candle during the resolution window, the market would resolve No, but the 100% odds suggest this scenario is extremely unlikely given the long timeframe.
- • A sustained bull market or regulatory clampdown preventing low prices could theoretically keep Bitcoin above $75,000, but the eight-month window already passed without a No resolution, contradicting this case.
- • The resolution source is Binance's specific one-minute Low price, which could differ from other exchanges or average prices, but the market's certainty indicates that condition was met.
What to watch
- • No future catalysts are relevant because the resolution window began November 24, 2025, and the market has already reached 100% Yes, implying the event has already occurred; any new price movements or news will not change the outcome.
