Will Dogecoin reach $0.40 by December 31, 2026?
🗂 Part of event: What price will Dogecoin hit in 2026? →💡 What the odds say
The market puts this at about a 7% chance — very unlikely.
No money — just record your call and see if you were right. Yes is at 7% right now.
Despite a 93% No price, Dogecoin's current $0.0735 price is so far from the $0.40 target that only an extreme, catalyst-driven rally—similar to 2021 but without a clear trigger—could make Yes happen, making the odds reflect fundamental undervaluation of the difficulty.
What's driving it
- • Current price of ~$0.0735 is 5.4x below the $0.40 target, with only five months remaining (KuCoin, Jul 21).
- • SEC internal emails reveal growing regulatory concern about Dogecoin's influence, which could dampen speculative demand (Bloomberg, Jun 26).
- • Multiple analysis pieces question whether DOGE can ever reach $1, casting doubt on even $0.40 (CryptoRank, Jul 21; CryptoRank, Jun 12).
The case for YES
- • Dogecoin has rallied more than 5x in a short window before (e.g., early 2021), so the move is historically possible with a strong enough catalyst.
- • A surprise endorsement from Elon Musk or a major payment integration could trigger a retail frenzy that pushes the price past $0.40.
- • The SEC's concern (Bloomberg, Jun 26) implies DOGE's reach is growing, which could attract more mainstream adoption and price appreciation.
The case for NO
- • The price has been stuck in a narrow range near $0.07 for months, with no upward momentum and a huge gap to $0.40 (KuCoin, Jul 21).
- • Regulatory headwinds (SEC emails, Jun 26) and competition from new meme coins like MemeToro AI (Bitget, Jul 21) reduce Dogecoin's unique appeal.
- • The target requires a 5.4x increase in about five months, which is historically rare for a mature crypto without a clear, imminent catalyst.
What to watch
- • Potential SEC enforcement action following leaked internal concerns (Bloomberg, Jun 26) — direction down.
- • Launch of competing meme coin presales (e.g., MemeToro AI, Bitget Jul 21) drawing speculative capital away from DOGE — direction down.
- • Any Elon Musk tweet or public mention of Dogecoin (no date given) — direction up, but unlikely to sustain a 5.4x move alone.

Which price will Bitcoin hit in July?
The market is effectively settled: with Bitcoin trading above $65,000 as of July 26 and only five days left in July, the 98% odds for $65,000 reflect a near-certain outcome rather than a speculative bet, leaving no room for the other two price levels.
