Despite ongoing US-Israel cooperation on Iran, Trump's personal visit to Israel remains unlikely as his diplomatic focus shifts to Saudi Arabia and Netanyahu comes to Washington.
What's driving it
- • Trump's focus on expanding the Abraham Accords to Saudi Arabia (Washington Post, Jul 25) diverts attention from a standalone visit to Israel.
- • Netanyahu's scheduled visit to the US next week (ANI News, Jul 25) reduces the diplomatic necessity for Trump to travel to Israel.
- • Tensions over a potential US strike on Iran (Ynetnews, Jul 25) may preoccupy the administration, making a symbolic visit to Israel less urgent.
- • The slight 1-point drop in Yes odds over the past week reflects these developments.
The case for YES
- • Trump visited Israel early in his first term (2017), and a second-term visit would reinforce his pro-Israel credentials.
- • Netanyahu's US visit could result in an invitation for Trump to visit Israel, especially if they finalize coordination on Iran.
- • Expanding the Abraham Accords might require Trump to travel to the region, including Israel, to seal deals.
The case for NO
- • Trump's current focus on Saudi normalization and the nuclear deal (The Times of Israel, Jul 25) suggests his regional priorities are elsewhere.
- • Netanyahu coming to Washington (Fox News, Jul 24) reduces the diplomatic need for Trump to go to Israel.
- • The ongoing Iran crisis and potential military action (Ynetnews, Jul 25) could make a presidential visit logistically complicated or politically risky.
What to watch
- • Netanyahu's US visit next week: if he invites Trump or announces a reciprocal visit, odds would likely rise.
- • Announcement of a US-brokered Saudi-Israel normalization deal: if Trump is to attend a signing ceremony in the region, odds would likely rise.
- • Major escalation with Iran: if the US launches strikes, Trump might visit Israel to show solidarity, raising odds.

How it resolves
Settled on-chain by UMA's optimistic oracle: once an outcome is clear, anyone can propose the result, which then enters a challenge window where it can be disputed with evidence before it finalizes.
⚖️ A proposed outcome can be disputed during a challenge window before it's final.
Resolution criteria
If U.S. President Donald Trump visits a listed country between January 1 and December 31, 2026 11:59 PM ET, the relevant market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". For the purpose of this market, a "visit" is defined as Trump physically entering the terrestrial or maritime territory of the listed country. Whether or not Trump enters the country's airspace during the timeframe of this market will have no bearing on a positive resolution. The primary resolution source for this information will be official information from government of the United States of America, official information from Trump or released by his verified social media accounts (e.g. https://twitter.com/POTUS), however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.

The field is virtually nonexistent: only two candidates register at 1% each, and no one has broken 5%, making this the most open Democratic nomination race in modern history. The single biggest recent shift is the DNC's decision to put South Carolina first in the 2028 primary calendar (Axios, Jul 25), which could reshape candidate strategies and favor a different type of contender.

The field is highly concentrated, with Andy Burnham absorbing nearly all of the probability after Starmer’s resignation and a key endorsement, pushing the top three candidates' combined odds to an unsustainable 110% that signals liquidity imbalances or heavy speculative positioning.
